Exo Terra Bio Drain Substrate is a natural, non-decomposable substrate that allows excellent drainage of the terrarium. It will not rot or decompose like other natural substrates, making it ideal for use in tropical terrariums and paludariums.
The Bio Drain Substrate is also pH neutral, so it will not affect the pH of the terrarium water.
Use in combination with the BioDrain Terrarium Draining Mesh. The mesh helps to keep the Bio Drain Substrate separated from the decorative top-layer substrate, preventing the different substrates from mixing and contaminating the water.
The Bio Drain Substrate also functions as a biological filtration system. The beneficial bacteria that live in the substrate help to break down waste products and keep the water clean. This helps to create a healthy environment for your terrarium animals.
