Hygrophila is native to Bangladesh, India and China, where it provides habitat for many species of barb fish. This is a great beginner plant as it grows well in a variety of conditions, and requires regular pruning to prevent it from outcompeting other aquarium plants for light.

A natural low stature making an ideal foreground or midground plant.
Unlike other Hygrophila species, this lancea grows at a moderate pace therefore it is easy to maintain.
This plant has dark red to brown slender leaves with a light coloured central vein.
Hygrophila lancea branches easily and regular trimming will encourage bushy growth.

Grown in nutrient rich agar jelly, free from pests, disease and algae.
Produced in a purpose built sterile laboratory by professional horticulturalists.
Superior quality with established root systems and fuller pots.
 
Suitable for nano-aquariums.

Before planting rinse off all the Agar (jelly) and separate into smaller bunches.
