The Aqua One Snail Eliminator is a formulated treatment designed to effectively control and destroy unwanted snails in your freshwater aquarium. This solution specifically targets various snail species often introduced accidentally with plants or decorations. By maintaining a balanced population, you can prevent them from overwhelming your aquarium and potentially harming your desired plants and fish.

Addressing the Snail Problem:

  • Rapid Elimination: The active ingredient, copper sulphate, disrupts the respiratory function of snails, leading to their swift eradication.
  • Targets a Wide Range of Species: This treatment is effective against various freshwater snail species that can rapidly reproduce and disrupt the ecological balance within your aquarium.
  • Suitable for Coldwater and Tropical Aquariums: The Aqua One Snail Eliminator can be used in both coldwater and tropical freshwater aquarium setups.

Important Considerations:

  • Safe for Fish and Plants: This product is generally safe for fish and plants when used according to the recommended dosage. However, it's crucial to note that copper can be harmful to certain sensitive fish species and invertebrates, such as catfish, snails (obviously!), and shrimp. It's advisable to temporarily remove these inhabitants from the aquarium during treatment.
  • Dosage and Frequency: Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging for the appropriate dosage based on your aquarium size and water hardness. Typically, repeat treatment after 3 days for optimal results.
  • Monitor Water Quality: Copper can affect water chemistry. Regularly monitor your water parameters, particularly copper levels, to ensure fish safety. Perform water changes as needed to maintain healthy water conditions.
  • Not for Soft Water: Not suitable for aquariums with soft water (carbonate hardness below 50ppm). In such cases, it can be harmful to your fish. It's crucial to test your aquarium water hardness before using this product.

Easy to Use:

  1. Measure the recommended dosage based on your aquarium size and water hardness (refer to product instructions).
  2. Add the solution directly to your aquarium water.
  3. Monitor your fish and water quality closely during treatment.

Maintaining a Balanced Aquarium:

The Aqua One Snail Eliminator offers a targeted solution for controlling unwanted snails in your freshwater aquarium. However, maintaining a healthy and balanced ecosystem through proper aquarium maintenance practices is essential for long-term success.
This includes:

  • Quarantine New Plants: To prevent accidental snail introduction, consider quarantining new plants before adding them to your main aquarium.
  • Maintain Proper Filtration: A well-functioning filtration system helps control waste and debris, reducing the food source for snails.
  • Control Overfeeding: Uneaten food can contribute to increased snail populations. Feed your fish only the amount they can consume within a few minutes.

Many species of freshwater snails can be introduced into aquariums with plants and can rapidly build up in numbers. Rinsing all new plants in running water before addition to the aquarium is recommended to prevent re-infestation.

Suitable for use in freshwater - coldwater and tropical aquariums.

Active constituent: 1g/L copper present as copper sulphate.
- DO NOT USE IN AQUARIUMS CONTAINING CATFISH OR SHRIMP.

If temporarily removing catfish or shrimp from aquarium whilst treating, test the water for copper before re-introducing livestock back into the aquarium.
