MicrōBacter Start XLM

What is it?

MicrōBacter Start XLM is a highly concentrated, live bacterial culture that is specifically formulated to rapidly cycle new marine and brackish aquariums.
It is also effective at re-establishing nitrifying bacteria after cleaning rocks and surfaces, or after using medications.

How does it work?

MicrōBacter Start XLM contains a complex of live, non-pathogenic bacteria that are essential for the nitrogen cycle.
These bacteria convert ammonia and nitrite into nitrate, which is a much less toxic form of nitrogen.
The addition of MicrōBacter Start XLM to a new aquarium jump-starts the nitrogen cycle, which allows the aquarium to become established much more quickly.

Before you get started, you will need:

1. An appropriately sized bottle of MicrōBacter Start XLM. 
2. A good grade of the following test kits:  ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH
3. Remove all chlorine or chloramines (if you skip this, you can kill the bacteria in MicrōBacter Start XLM.)
4. An excellent aquarium salt mix, and purified tap water. 
   Brightwell recommends the tap water be filtered by Reverse Osmosis with post deionization and that you change your carbon filter regularly.

How to use:

• Add 30ml (6 capfuls) of MicrōBacter Start XLM per 95 L (25 US-gallons) of aquarium water.
• Add one or more hardy fish.
• Remove filter socks, turn UV-sterilization and/or ozonation and/or protein skimmer off for the complete period of cycling until you are finished dosing this product.

Dosage:
For new aquariums: Add 30ml (6 capfuls) per 95 L (25 US-gallons) of aquarium water.
For established aquariums: Add 30ml (6 capfuls) per 378 L (100 US-gallons) of aquarium water.

Storage:
Store in a cool, dry place. Do not freeze.
