Eheim reeflexUV 350

The EHEIM reeflexUV is a new UV sterilizer that uses a built-in reflector to increase the effectiveness of UV-C radiation by 1.8 times.
This means that it can kill microorganisms and eliminate torbidity in aquarium water more efficiently than ever before.

Conventional UV sterilizers direct the water past the UV-C burner in a roundabout way, which can cause some of the radiation to be lost.
The EHEIM reeflexUV, on the other hand, takes a more direct route, which ensures that all of the water is exposed to the UV-C radiation.

In addition to being more effective, the EHEIM reeflexUV also uses less energy than conventional UV sterilizers.
This is because the reflector helps to focus the UV-C radiation, so less of it is needed to kill the microorganisms.

The EHEIM reeflexUV should only be used in conjunction with a filter.



The filter will remove any large particles from the water, which will help to prevent them from blocking the UV-C radiation.

Special Technology for Clean Water and Healthy Fish.
Eheim ReeflexUV is a UV sterilizer that uses special technology to kill off microorganisms, algae spores, and other small organisms in aquarium water. Conventional UV sterilizers only irradiate the water on one side, but Eheim ReeflexUV has a built-in reflector that allows the UV radiation to penetrate the water from more sides, resulting in a significantly higher performance level.

Eheim ReeflexUV also has a simple water flow system that does not redirect the water.
This means that there is no loss of performance and the water is always evenly irradiated.

For added safety, Eheim ReeflexUV has an AUTO OFF feature that turns off the UV lamp immediately when the device is opened.
This helps to prevent accidental exposure to UV radiation, which can cause damage to skin and eyes.

What you should also know:
Compared to normal waters the bacterial count in an aquarium is relatively high due to the small amount of water.
It is worth reducing this and bringing it back to a normal level.
However, the aquarium water should never be completely bacteria free.

Only floating bacteria in the water are captured by the UV-steriliser.
Colonised cleaning bacteria in the filter (compare biological filtration) and bacteria in the gravel substrate are spared.
Quickly and efficiently reduces both harmful bacteria and fish parasites in their infectious stages in the water:

Torbidity in the water, caused by bacteria or floating algae, is removed very efficiently by the UV-sterilisation.
Basically-algae growth is curbed, because the spores are killed off.
Eliminates torbidity caused by algae or bacteria:
reeflexUV 350 = Maximum flow capacity: 400 l/h
reeflexUV 500 = Maximum flow capacity: 800 l/h
reeflexUV 800 = Maximum flow capacity: 1200 l/h

UV-sterilisers generally ensure healthier fish, because the risk of infection is reduced.
A UV-steriliser is especially recommended for breeding tanks, because dangerous pathogens colonise on eggs or infect young livestock, which don’t yet possess enough power of resistance.

UV-sterilisation in general doesn’t cause any kind of changes to the water values.
The light source contained in this product is intended exclusively for the disinfection of aquarium water.
